In addition to the monthly challenge below I'd like to add that spring is rolling in and that means that many of the communities you live in or near will begin hosted local walking and running events. My added challenge to you is to register and participate in at least one event that will be held within the next 2-3 months. The distance of the event itself does not matter, only that you find one and commit. Once you sign up for one, email me or leave a comment here and I will list your name and event in a new list on the left hand side of this blog.
June I will be doing my first duathlon. And another one in July. Add me!! Possible DL half not sure yet.
ReplyDeleteRae do you have the dates for your events?

ReplyDeleteHello, guys! I found the blog!! :)
ReplyDeleteI have seen Rae's and Jonathan's, but now I found Team Voice! :)
Will you put me down for a very small triathlon (Soak up the Sun) on May 16th. That will help me have a little accountability to actually DO IT! It will probably a be a dead last finish...but at least I will do it!
Oh yeah!! and the half in 2010 at Disney!! :) I will be doing that one with Team In Training...I think...unless I can use this to motivate me to where I think I am ready. Maybe that would work? I have no idea!
Okay all. I finished Pat's Run this morning. I don't have the official chip time, but my Garmin time for 4.2 miles was 42:57 - that's a 10:16 per mile pace and I ran the whole thing - hills and all :)!
ReplyDeleteI'll have an entry in my blog later this weekend when I have my official chip time :)!
No Walk to End Domestic Violence on the 26th...They've moved it out to November :)!
ReplyDeleteI did the North Glasgow 5k on Sunday and it was a blast! Managed to finish it in 32.30 mins (approximately)!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to our two April runners. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteHi - I had to scrap the MS Walk on May 2 because my husband had a final that day and he's my ride. I'm trying to find another race to do before the end of June. I'll keep you posted!
